Technical Building Code 2026: a critical perspective from Aiguasol’s experience
At Aiguasol, we use Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) not as a mere formality, but as a strategic tool to reduce emissions from the earliest stages of building projects. With the draft of the new CTE 2026, sustainable design is no longer optional—it becomes the standard, linking construction to real climate objectives. The challenge goes beyond the sustainability of new buildings: transforming the existing building stock is essential. The key questions remain: who will finance this transition, and how quickly can we act?

IncentEU and PLAN4CET: European synergies for a sustainable energy transition
At Aiguasol, as coordinators of the European IncentEU project, we co-organized, together with AESS, a technical site visit to the Districlima district heating network and the Ca l’Alier Innovation Center.
The study visit brought together partners from the European PLAN4CET project, representing eight organizations from Spain (Navarra), Sweden, and Italy, with the aim of fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between projects driving the energy transition and climate resilience, within the framework of the European Union LIFE programme.
