Last Tuesday, October 31st, a fundamental meeting was held within the framework of the REGENERA project, where the latest advances were presented and key aspects that will contribute to the success of this innovative initiative were addressed. The event took place in a synergetic environment, in order to ensure a correct alignment of the participating companies and an efficient work flow development.
The REGENERA project aims at developing innovative technologies to efficiently and economically store surplus renewable energies from biogas and green hydrogen production. This approach is essential in the current context of transition towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly economy, as it helps to maximize the use of clean energies, reduce dependence on non-renewable energies and valorize waste and CO₂ emissions.
During the day, several significant activities were carried out. First, a thorough internal planning of the project was carried out, ensuring that all elements were coordinated and in sync. In addition, a thorough review of the status of the deliverables was conducted, ensuring that all stated objectives were successfully met. A detailed review of key performance indicators (KPIs) was also conducted to assess the progress of the project.
During the afternoon, the Aiguasol team organized a highly interactive and participatory workshop. This workshop focused on the discussion of the models created by TRNSYS for the project technologies. Their integration in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP’s) was analyzed and initial business models related to the potential results of the research were proposed. This part of the meeting was extremely constructive and provided new perspectives and innovative ideas.
This meeting was made possible thanks to the collaboration of important project partners, such as Depuración de Aguas del Mediterráneo, S.L., Sorigué, Tyris AI – Vision & Predictive Analytics, ENGIE, Exolum, H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, Hidroquimia and Leitat Technological Center. The sum of their efforts and expertise is essential to successfully advance this innovative initiative.
The REGENERA project continues to be a clear example of how research and collaboration between companies can contribute to the development of solutions capable of meeting the energy and environmental challenges of the future. With each step forward, we are closer to a more sustainable and energy-efficient society.
