We are pleased to announce that, for the fourth consecutive year, we at Aiguasol have received the Social Balance 2024 Seal, awarded by the Catalan Solidarity Economy Network (XES) in recognition of the actions carried out in the last year 2023 in terms of corporate social and environmental responsibility. This seal reflects our dedication to ethical and transparent management, as well as our commitment to the energy transition and the well-being of all the people who are part of the organization.
This year’s recognition is the result of the various social initiatives we have promoted over the past year. Firstly, we have created the entity’s Harassment Protocol, with the definition of a reference person to deal with this type of cases and its dissemination to the entire team, to ensure an inclusive and safe working environment. We have also participated in the “Women’s Conference” organized by BATEC, Pol cooperative for the energy transition”, from which the group ‘Dones d’Aigua”’ was born, a space to unite the female voices of the entity, share concerns and raise proposals to the assembly of members. In addition, we continue to work to promote the presence of women in our internal selection and decision-making processes.
Our organizational structure leads us to make all decisions in an assembly manner, offering the opportunity for debate to all the people who make up the team. Regardless of roles, we agree on the best options for the collective project.
In addition, we actively collaborate with several organizations and initiatives that share our values of social and environmental transformation, such as B Corp, the XES or the Federació de Cooperatives de Treball, and we are part of associations that work every day to promote the ecosocial transition in our territory, such as the Clúster de la Bioenergia de Catalunya, the Clúster de l’Energia Eficient, Coopolis and Coop57.
The well-being of people is key to Aiguasol, a value that guides all our decisions and strategies. For this reason, we prioritize decent and stable working conditions, with flexible hours, adapted vacations for those who work abroad, annual competency evaluations and spaces to reinforce the bonds between all the people in the team. In addition, we have a People Area, a department dedicated to the support and backing of our employees.
This recognition from XES encourages us to continue working and improving to promote a fairer, more equitable and sustainable economy, and to make Aiguasol a benchmark in terms of social and environmental commitment.
