It is a pleasure to announce that the Guide “Recommendations to implement a Local Energy Community” developed in collaboration with ECODES, is now available on the official website of the Spanish Network of Cities for Climate: https://redciudadesclima.es/proyectos. 

The initiative is aimed at all those municipalities interested in promoting the creation and development of energy communities in their localities as a civic tool for the integration of renewables and the fight against poverty and energy inequality. 

What to expect?

• Trends in Spain in relation to this new model of energy decentralization through citizen collaboration. 
• How to overcome possible barriers that may arise during the process of creating an energy community. 
• Real success cases of energy communities in our country. 

It has been a pleasure to collaborate and contribute to the guide with our know-how on energy communities and we would like to thank all the local entities that have helped us to enrich it through their experiences.  We are sure that this initiative will serve to take a step forward towards a fairer and sustainable energy transition in our country.
