AIGUASOL was commissioned to assess energy consumption in residential and office buildings and was able to evaluate up to 90% of the buildings of these uses in the city of Barcelona.

In the context of the Barcelona Energy Improvement Plan, AIGUASOL was commissioned to assess energy consumption in residential and office buildings and was able to evaluate up to 90% of the buildings of these uses in the city of Barcelona.
In order to produce a classification and potentially identify specific measures, we classified buildings in the city according to their energy behavior.

Later, we performed a detailed energy behavior study of each of the selected building types, using dynamic simulation tools (TRNSYS) and incorporating specific data calculations relative to the conditions of use and the more common types of installations.

In the baseline scenario, we analyzed different savings packages at the city level, yielding associated energy savings of 15%.
