For the fifth consecutive year, we share the results of our 2025 Social Balance as part of the Solidarity Economy Network of Catalonia (XES). This has been a year defined by our commitment to sustainability, equality, and cooperation with our community. The report reflects our ongoing journey toward a responsible and transparent business model, where people, the territory, and the planet are at the core of our activity.
Key highlights of the year
- Equality and diversity: 45% of our management and leadership positions are now held by women, reinforcing our commitment to an inclusive and equitable workplace.
- Energy sustainability: 100% of the energy we consume comes from renewable sources, significantly reducing our CO₂ emissions.
- Support for the local and social economy: 48% of our purchases are made from local suppliers and organizations within the social and solidarity economy (SSE).
- Social and environmental commitment: We actively participate in initiatives and organizations such as B Corp, CEL COOP, XES, the Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia, the Catalonia Bioenergy Cluster, the Catalonia Energy Efficiency Cluster, Coòpolis – Cooperative Athenaeum of Barcelona, Coop57, and BATEC, the cooperative hub for the energy transition.
Looking ahead
While we are proud of the progress achieved, we recognize that there is always room for improvement:
- Inclusion and diversity: We will continue implementing programs that promote real equality at all organizational levels and will work to develop a comprehensive equality plan for the cooperative.
- Waste reduction and circular economy: We aim to further enhance the sustainable management of our resources and materials.
- Broader social impact: We will expand our collaboration with social and educational projects — for instance, through our partnership with Barcelona Activa, where we delivered a session on the cooperative model and our role in advancing the energy transition to 28 students from the La Pau and Francesc Layret adult education centers, as well as through the creation of educational content on energy communities for the Ambientech platform.
