We are looking for a Technical Consultant with experience and strategic vision to participate in innovative projects that promote building decarbonization and reduce environmental impact, both through passive approaches and the design of efficient energy systems.
You will join our technical team in Barcelona, working on consultancy, engineering, and research & innovation projects, contributing solid technical knowledge and analytical skills to design sustainable energy solutions.
In your day-to-day role:
- You will contribute to the development of passive building optimization projects and the calculation of energy demands, modeling and simulating buildings and their systems to improve efficiency and thermal performance.
- You will evaluate different energy system alternatives from both technical and economic perspectives, identifying the most efficient and sustainable solution for each project.
- You will participate in the design of thermal and renewable energy systems, such as aerothermal, geothermal, biomass installations, district heating networks, and other technologies, at the preliminary or basic project stage.
- You will prepare technical reports and proposals to guide decision-making and facilitate the communication of results to clients and collaborators.
- You will inspect installations and systems as part of energy audits and diagnostics, proposing strategies to improve energy performance.
- You will collaborate on research and innovation projects, providing creative and efficient solutions that contribute to the development of new sustainable energy models and technologies.
- You will maintain communication with internal teams, clients, and external collaborators, ensuring smooth collaboration and consistent technical alignment throughout the project.

What are we looking for?
We want to add to our team a person with experience, technical rigor, and motivation to work on energy transition projects within a cooperative. We are looking for someone who, beyond technical knowledge, brings the ability to work independently, critical thinking, and a collaborative spirit.
Your experience and knowledge:
- Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences, with knowledge of building physics and/or thermal energy systems.
- More than 5 years of experience developing energy optimization projects and HVAC systems.
- Experience in optimizing thermal demands using dynamic simulation tools (TRNSYS, Design Builder, or similar).
- Design of efficient HVAC schemes for NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings).
- Systems engineering for the development of preliminary designs, basic designs, and executive projects for thermal installations.
- Valuable experience in the design of renewable energy production systems (solar thermal, photovoltaic).
- Fluency in English to participate in international projects.
