For a winery belonging to Bodegas Faustino, we performed an energy study of various solar thermal energy systems, analysing different solar technology designs in light of the energy required for various production processes, wine storage and treatment of the ambient air in the winery itself.

AIGUASOL carried out of the thermal demand schedule in order to optimize and design a heating and cooling system based on the incorporation of high-performance solar system.

The study examined different solutions—including flat collectors, high-performance vacuum tubes, absorption, a desiccant wheel and evaporative cooling—for subsequent multivariate analysis, ultimately yielding the optimum solution in terms of cost and energy efficiency.
