Módulo Solar is a Mexican manufacturer of solar thermal collectors with a long history in the industry and an extensive range of products. In 2001, following other collaborations with AIGUASOL, Módulo Solar asked for technical advice on the development of a new model of medium-temperature solar collector for solar cooling facilities.

As part of the project, AIGUASOL analyzed the performance curves of the manufacturer’s products and conducted a critical analysis of the product specifications. Based on this analysis and the use of dynamic tools and CFD simulation, we proposed and analyzed different solutions for the basic components of the initial module, so as to optimize its design to the requested features. The analysis included a cost-benefic assessment, a detailed design of the new collector and the measuring and analysis of the real results of a prototype.
