The main goals of the project were to perform an approximate qualitative analysis of the design of a new corporative building in Bangalore and to suggest measures that should be analyzed in more detail in the near future for inclusion in the design and construction of the building.
The goal was not only to reduce the energy needs and improve comfort in both the administrative area and warehouses, but also to keep in mind that this was Hydro’s corporate building.
The report included passive and active measures related to solar radiation, wind, ventilation, day lighting and humidity, with special consideration taken for the weather in Bangalore. The proposals incorporated advanced HVAC systems, natural ventilation and PV generation.
