AIGUASOL was involved, together with service company Aira Termosolar, in the development of the Fresnel linear concentrator for high-temperature hot water production from the very early phases of the project.

Since February 2012, Mafrica, a meatpacking company in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada (Bages), has employed a solar thermal plant to produce the hot water that it uses in its industrial processes.

The plant is used under an ESCO agreement. Under this agreement, Mafrica pays the service company, which owns the facility, for the heat it uses.

AIGUASOL was involved in the concept and original design phases as well as in the subsequent manufacturing, installation and system integration of the Fresnel linear concentrator for high-temperature hot water production. We also were responsible for integrating the new system with Mafrica.
