Within the project “Ensuring Access to Alternative Energy in enhancing Agri-Tech Research and Development, Implementation and Trade”, Aiguasol is leading the technical assistance for rural energy access and the creation of an Agriculture Research site in North East Guadalcanal (Solomon Islands, Oceania).

Alongside Aiguasol, the partners involved in the project are:

  • Azimut360, experts on self-sufficiency and PV  installations
  • KNUST University in Ghana – The Brew Hammond Energy Centre: providing technical assistance in agricultural engineering.

Under this premise, we were asked by Baela Association, a Non-Charitable Trust Organization based in NE Guadalcanal, to work mostly on:

  1. Alternative Energy Potential for the Project Site
  2. Design of the Agriculture Research development
  3. Land Plan, Engineering and Architectural Design of the Project Site
  4. Governance Structure

The initiative’s main goal is to ensure that the people of North East Guadalcanal have access to renewable energy to add value to their current small-scale farms, and help support Guadalcanal Communities to excel in their livelihood by creating opportunities for them to thrive.

We continue with our mission of promoting and advancing the energy transition forward globally.
