“The high-quality services that AIGUASOL offers are only possible from a well-orchestrated combination of real world experience, market presence and research and development.”

When we talk about AIGUASOL, we talk about research. This is explained due to the high-quality services it offers which are only possible from a well-orchestrated combination of experience in real world projects, market presence and research and development activities.

AIGUASOL has continuously developed since its beginnings, with research receiving more than one third of its resources without interruption, either through internal initiatives or external orders, with self-financing, public, private or mixed funding. The research activity in AIGUASOL is characterized by its international vocation, participating as Spanish experts in tasks of the International Energy Agency and numerous European projects.

The first European project, named POSHIP and launched in 1999, laid the ground work for the European scientific community regarding solar heating for industrial processes. Since then, AIGUASOL has applied its capabilities in innovation, developing both flat-plate and concentrating solar collectors, improving solar assisted air-conditioning systems or developing solutions, schematics and software applications for solar thermal systems in housing blocks. Beginning in 2007, the HIGH COMBI project began with the development of a high solar fraction system, through the use of solar heat pumps and semi-seasonal storage. It is also relevant to point out the activity in improving prefabricated constructive solutions, in the development of calculation tools for dynamic simulation of thermal behavior of buildings through the Internet or the energy certification standards of buildings and systems.

AIGUASOL currently offers its customers applied research services in energy issues such as the development of specific elements, global solutions or product lines, the search for the best constructive solutions  to achieve certain objectives, programming  subroutines of real devices, generating TRNSYS models of complex systems or creating and customizing applications for internal use or free distribution.
