Aiguasol has participated in two award-winning projects recognized in the field of energy efficiency.

The first, the Science Center Benasque Pedro Pascual has been awarded one of Isover Energy Efficiency Award. Isover Awards European projects promoting innovation and creativity in relation to the implementation of energy efficiency criteria. Projects are considered new construction and renovation or rehabilitation of buildings, with emphasis on methods or creative and innovative to get the final results of efficiency.

Second, Endesa has given awards to the winning projects in the four categories in the V ENDESA Awards more Sustainable Real Estate Development, in the context of the real estate fair Barcelona Meeting Point, which these days takes place in Barcelona.

With these awards the electric company wants to recognize and promote sustainable construction in the housing market. It seeks to promote the search for global solutions and energy efficiency, rewarding development companies already working in this direction.

In the category of residential development, the winner was the Patronat Municipal de l’Habitatge de Barcelona, for the energy design and implementation of a high efficiency climatisation system supported by solar thermal energy.

EXE Architecture has conducted Aiguasol the architectural design and has been the company responsible for carrying out the optimization of building thermal performance through the optimization of envelope and passive aspects and the design, optimization and implementation of the system High efficiency air conditioning with a large contribution of solar thermal energy.

The project was developed under the R & D project of the European Union HIGHCOMBI.
